Since the drubbing of the 2024 election, and the loss to probably THE most flawed presidential candidate in America history, all I have heard from the talking heads and leaders of the Democratic party is, my-oh-my how did we lose? Quick, bring in the experts and propaganda spewing talking heads so we may delve deeply into our rhyme and reason. Break out the scalpels and saw's, bring in the political MD's, call Carville and Donna! We need deep discussion and an "internal autopsy" to find this mysterious self-inflicted illness.
Now I am not saying do not review and reflect, self-reflection/awareness is crucial to learn and grow. But when something is so patently obvious, is such deep reflection needed? It's pretty *#&$&# crystal clear, YOU LOST THE BLUE COLLAR/MIDDLE CLASS WORKER! The backbone of the Democratic party for many, many years. You recall the Dem platform, Common Worker, Education, Environment, Elderly, CHILDREN!
"When they go low, we go high." Bullshit! Barrack Obama will likely go down in history as one of the better presidents America has had. Most presidential historians to date rank him on average in the top tier of past presidents. I supported him then and support him know. And if #47 (who currently ranks near the bottom, with some having him AT THE BOTTOM, (a whole different can of worms) wants to illegally, remember maga... Constitution, run for a third term, my money would be on Barrack Obama in a landslide. But this hogwash of "going high" was the turning point for the Democratic party. They got dragged into the culture wars hook, line and sinker and as result brought out the high-roller donors and mega stars! Oprah, Beyoncé, Taylor, et al. The party became glitz rather than grit! During Kamala Harris' campaign it became magnified to the power of 10!
No offense to those mentioned above or insinuated, but I don't give a rat’s ass what their opinion is or what influence they may have. None, zip, not-a-%$^#&NG thing! You got into a tit-for-tat with a worthless republican presidential nominee and a spinless GOP!
YOU lost focus on a majority of the American people. YOU lost focus on what drives the economic might of America, the small business and working-class American. You buddied up to the high-roller tech heads, who have now bailed and bought favor from the man child, and the Hollywood elite. YOU left the America worker behind. YOU failed in the fight for the middle class. While you were going high! (apparently too high, like in the flipping clouds) you lost sight of the bread and butter of our genes, our fiber, our core. The common man trying to pass on a better life to their child, a small business owner making their first sale, a farmer bringing in their harvest. People every day getting up and going to work to power this machine forward. Daily searching for that American Dream. Unfortunately, with the current trajectory of things, that dream is fading far to fast and for far too many!
